Annual Spring Performance

The most professional student performance in the area, our dancers have the occasion to perform before hundreds of friends, family and community members.  Held each year in May, students will present class pieces, and studio dances for this gala event.  

Workshops & Competitions

Miss Suzanne is an active member in both the DMW and CNADM organizations which provide members and their students with continued education and enrichment in dance. Miss Suzanne‘s active membership allows her students to participate in these workshops at a reduced fee, be eligible for workshop and college scholarships, the Student Honors Program, competitions and competing for Miss/Mr DMW. 

Student Choreography Showcase

A Charity fundraising event and performance opportunity for students of Marilyn School of Dance, LLC where students are guided through the process of choreography.  Held each year in March, students will present their choreographed piece.  Students in Ballet I and up are eligible for participation.

Dance Stars

Dance Stars are Marilyn School of Dance's competitive dance team.  Participants range in age from 6th grade through High School.​ Dance Stars is for the committed dancer who is in fourth grade or higher and placed via audition. Students must have significant dance experience, be enrolled in appropriate levels of ballet, tap, jazz and the Dance Star class. Students must be goal oriented, hardworking, cooperative, compassionate and have a positive attitude and love to perform.  Auditions are held annually.


NOVA, which means New Star, is a community based service group which performs at area nursing homes, community events and the Student Choreography Showcase.  Participants range in age from 5th grade through Middle School.  The NOVA must also be dedicated, motivated, cooperative, hard working, and have the ability to learn quickly.

Monroe-Jackson Dance Theatre

Children enrolled in Ballet I and up are encouraged to embrace this opportunity to fulfill the dream of performing in such magical productions as Thumbelina, The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan's Awfully Big Adventure, and more.  All community members are encouraged to participate in all facets of the performance.  Your talents, artistic or organizational are needed, from stage technicians to dramatic performers.  This year's production will be "Alice in Wonderland."  Auditions are September 15th and performances will be held December 22nd.
